Guys, its that time of year again, wondering if any of you frequent these on a regular basis...been a few years since I went to one in the Midalnds to buy a beamer.

Looking for a 1-2 yr old Audi A3 for Madame P

Hi Frank,

My Brother-In-Law is in to car dealing and has an account with most auction houses, I will drop him a line to keep a look out if you want? If so, any preference on colour, specs, A3, Sport, Cab, S3, RS3, mileage limit, price limit??

Robert, very good......will pm you a few details......ok? Just trawling through a few of their cars currently, not a lot to wet our taste buds. maybe if he can pass me a few sale prices to start with so I could get my eye in?

Well...she feels the slightly bigger car is a safer car...plus we do more miles than we think

Mrs BB has an S3 Sportback - nice car, surprisingly fast.

New A3 shown at Geneva next week so prices might start sliding - useful for any price negotiation.

They will look in the boot, check the radio works and say it looks like a big A1. There, saved you £4.50.

...oh and there will be the technical section where they will say that it is on the same chassis as the new Golf.

Oh and then there will be the readers test. A fat bloke will tell you that the driver's seat will not go far enough back, a size 6 mother will say that the boot lip is low high to get her XXL pram in, an IT guy wil say that it is brilliant but not fast enough for his life style and an old dear will be upset that the headrest is in the way when she looks over her shoulder to reverse over her husband.

Trev has a 3 year old 30k miler A3 1.9D going back to the lease company in 8 weeks time, its in good nick. They have not given us a buy out price, but they usually take the P anyway. I can guarantee, it will be picked up and go straight to Camberly car auctions, the last 2 did.
