Battery Tender

As my GT is a second car I was thinking of using a battery tender to keep it charged. However my car lives outside. Is it a good or bad thing to have it in the boot?

I can't see it being an issue but I had a 12v c-tek extension cable so all the 240v was in the garage and the 12v (no connectors) was outside. This has the advantage that the 12v cable is a lot thinner than a 240v one and therefore lets the boot shut easier......

should not be a problem in the boot, it will generate a little heat but otherwise ok, I have done this in the past without issues. Like Catman I also run 12v to the car bacause I can shut the boot on top of the 12v cable more easily.

Nice business idea would be a kit to package wiring and connectors up with a neat socket hidden away somewhere

I had a full garage during a house move, my GT is a second car too so was parked outside, I shoved the CTEK under the car out of the rain, it was fine, in fact, I think they are rainproof and used on boats, check out the web site. This way you only have the thin wire going into the boot.
