Battery drain

Sorry! so many posts! :p

Now I've not really an idea what I'm doing, there is obviously more demand compared to doors closed & properly locked and its certainly half a job as there are other fuses I've not tested. However if anyone has any experience with what I found please let me know:

With boot open & doors closed it showed an overall drain of 0.4amp

I removed & tested all fuses one by one in the footwell - door open

fuse ports drawing:
0.15 Fuse 1 drivers seat
0.15 Fuse 2 passenger seat
0.30 Fuse 25 ECU for Can line interface, OBD, code system, multifunction display
2.4 Fuse 29 Ceiling lights, timer, seats, luggage compartment & fuel flap controls
0.01 Fuse 31 clock
0.06 Fuse 43 Passenger side window
0.04 Fuse 44 Driver side window

Apart from my testing...Anything ringing alarm bells?

The door locks in the doors go bad and are apparently NLA. They will flutter (you can hear the rapid clicking) while trying to get in sync with each other. Gotta pull the relay and forget about locking the car with the remote...though you can still set the alarm with it.

Also...the interior alarm can be an issue. I always press and hold the key fob til I hear the "beep" letting me know the interior isn't "set" ...

I suspect you have the common issue of coolant leaking from the heater matrix into the fuse box area and blowing the light timer module, have done loads.

Are you referring to a relay conaero? C/D? The fuse area is dry but there are potentially signs of water historically. Not been driving with aircon on recently tho

Not heard any door clicking yet & not had any issues locking/unlocking. But to rule it out which relay is it for the remote door locking?
Although no activations as Ive read here I have been tempted to disable the alarm...not much use anyway & probably a source of my battery drain

Will have to consult the owner's manual; can't remember off top of head, and I'm not near it, but I believe it's in the box in the floor.

The interior sensor seems to be the part of the alarm that is the largest culprit (if doors are actuating correctly), so you can also try the press & hold trick while locking and see if that solves for the drain...

If the heater core is going bad, it will leak/leach/drip/seep just by dint of coolant circulating while you're driving...

No, its a module, to the left of the fuse board in the passenger footwell about the size of a packet of cigarettes.

Item 10 £38

It gets wet and the interior light stays on flattening your battery
