Battery drain again

I'd have thought the "connected" devices are aircon related eg cabin temp sensor, light sensor etc

Bit of an update after a few false starts. It appears that the battery drain is coming from the power windows.

Pulling fuse 43 reduces the drain by around 50% and pulling fuse 44 ruduces the drain further to next to nothing.

My chain of thought is that the easy entry window module is at fault (sticking relay on the board)

Ive got a slightly weird delayed dip and close on the passenger side.

Im thinking that if the wiring harness is the same on both sides of the of the easy entry control box i could swap the cables round and if the funky window dip changes sides then it proves the easy entry control box is faulty.

Anyone had one of the control boxes apart ? Is it worth checking for dry joints or faulty relay on the board?

Check where it is, if its down in the passenger footwell, I'm guessing its going to have got wet and inside will show the evidence.

Its above the fusebox in the passenger side footwell. All appears dry but thats not to say it always has been.

Just to close this thread off. The cause of the battery drain was indeed the window control module.

4 relays inside the box when you open it up and i suspect one of those was sticking. Relays can be purchased for a few quid each but will be tricky to solder new ones on if you only have basic soldering kit.

Depending on the year of car you have there are two different easy entry modules. White connector on the box is the single connection type. The version with black connectors has cables to both side.

Used module obtained from Suprano Stu. Big thanks to him for a hassle free transaction and bearing with me while i tested to see if the replacement fixed the issue.

Result no battery drain and the battery now holds charge for upto three weeks before it drops below 12v

End result was an easy fix if a little awkward to get the module out without a crows foot or very slim walled socked.
