Hi,
I am in need of an armrest cover for a 53 reg 4200
Mine looked a slightly different colour that the seats so i decided to clean it with some mild soap and water.
Sadly it had been resprayed with some sort of spray paint and this cam eoff very very easily.
Underneath it has had some repaires in a grey colour.
I was thinking that maybe i could find another one in Black or the original pale colour or maybe i could redo the armrest top in a flexible carbon.
Has anyone any experience with flexible real carbon and is its properties much like material, can be slightly stretched tight etc?

Have found one from a low milage car in black and that will go nicely.
I also managed to get a top condition main seal for £100 and the kickplates for £40.
I am enquiring about the chrome grill and sat nav CD drive.

Yes its good and no not charles Trent.
I got these parts from a breaker online.
The seal is undamaged and from alow mileage car along with the rest really.
He wants £90 for the Grill complete and unmarked and £100 for the sat Nav CD.
So things are coming together nicely now.
I digress but I see there is a 4200 AC compressor new on the bay for less than £500.
Also 2 rear bumpers for the 4200 which i think a member was looking ofr a short while ago.

Items arrived today and they are all in VGC as promised.
I am going to wait for a dry day to fit the seal.Car is booked for its new wheels on Tuesday at 8am.
I am getting the specialists to also paint the wheel nuts the dark colour as well.
I am also having a new set of Pirelli P Zero fitted to the rear as in these slightly wet conditions those Budget brand Fullrun P199 tyres are absolutly deadly!(who in there right mind would fit ....?)
Wheels spin all the time and traction control is flicking on continually even whilst driving and launching.

Thats good news G.......rear bumpers are more common than fronts, which seem to be very hard to get......!

The grill price seems good, just getting old one out....can be a complete pain in ....aahheeemmm...patience plus dexterity/ingenuity...;)

Loz swears by either Falkens or vredsteins....maybe he will confirm which he favours!?

Over the years ive experienced Pilot sports which i thought were poor generally, Pzero's which were great in the dry but average in the wet , and Vredsteins , which for me are best all round in both wet and dry , and a bonus is that there far cheaper than the Major recognized brands , Vredstein altho being a relative newish name to the tyre seen in recent years have a very good and established track record , they are the fastest growing tyre company in the world , note they will be a big name in the next 3 years , talk to any major tyre outlet and they will confirm their popularity is growing fast, personally i cant fault them , best move i made and of course wriiten on the side of the tyre wall ids design by Giugaro Now where have you seen that before

They would be winter tyres then Loz as giugaro has only designed winters for Vredstein.
I cannot get them for a price cheaper than the Pirelli P Zero rosso.
they are more money!
My P zeros will be fitted tuesday when the new wheels have been done.

Wrong Alex , mine are not just winter tyres , they are Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta on both my GS and the 4200 , thet are an all year round tyre , altho giugaro does design the winter tyre tread aswell , look them up on camskill site

Sorry Loz,its not one of the ones recommended for maserati on the website of VREDESTEIN but i can now see that you are quite right.
I would have considered a set of 4 of these for the money had vredestein mentioned them.
ah well maybe i still have time to change my mind?
