Natural selection...You can get McD’s delivered? There is a god, and he’s American.
Oh wait that doesn’t sound so good now!
On the subject of not being the brightest. This was seen at work on Sunday night. 3 members of staff standing about 6ft apart all wearing masks. All good so far. Brain dead no1 moves his mask to the side, lights up a cigarette, has a couple of drags. He then replaces the mask and hands the cigarette to brain dead no2 who does exactly the same and passes it to brain dead no3.
Edit: Apparently f@g is now a rude word.
British Land? You sure? I haven’t seen anything to suggest that but possibly have missed it. Last time I looked at them they were very cash rich.Debenhams gone. Top Shop on brink. British Land (owners of meadow Hall etc) on brink even before covid... Chain restaurants like carluccios gone...
How many bars and pubs will never reopen...
What will our high streets look like after all this...
Anyone know any specialist boarding-up companies I could invest in..

I see. I don’t think they’re at risk at all. Certainly not on the brink. Share price is 332.90p, up 18.4p today. Excellent senior management team and a clear strategy. And as well as that, they’re one of the most ethically responsible developers I’ve ever worked with.Hadn't looked at their business state, or cash reserves but read a few articles in passing, that they were struggling with shops closing, empty units, general death of the high St with retail rentals being their core business

Oddly enough we rewatched Kes last night, filmed in Barnsley. Was reading on IMDB USA release had simplified dialogue/accents - what is it with Americans? We can understand their oddball accents, are ours that much more impenetrable? My friend who is an independent funeral director in Barnsley has just told me he has just taken 8 funerals in the last 2 hours, and the mortuary want him to collect and store ASAP.
He probably does about 2 or 3 week a week at max under normal circumstances.
I understand Chris Whitty is back for the 5pm briefing, good to hear he is okay after no news about him.
Funerals huh!
Every cloud has a silver lining, there are going to be some companies who are going to really make hay while the sun shines.
I heard earlier we lost the unique Lord Bath to CV a couple of days ago, he was quite a character.

That's not good. Despite his cycling, I don't think he's the fittest of people.Boris now in Intensive care unit.
