bafoon boris and his so called adivisers should of acted a lot sooner instead of ignoring all the signs, bunch of cluster fooks, imo the numbers in china are far higher than were reported and the fact they felt it necessary to build a hospital in record time to cope with it should have been enough of a warning sign that something nasty was about to break out worldwide, one minute boris the bafoon is saying he's shaking hands with the infected in hospitals and the next he's advising against it, it's a bloomin joke
Sorry....did you say that you were a virologist! ;)

local councils have been pleading with 2nd home owners not to come to Wales to ride it out. Too late from what I’ve seen And our local hospital has already been in special measures for 2 years, so something like this could be truly catastrophic for hospital Admissions.
Its happening in Cornwall to; long queues on the A30 today (reported by the police) due to all the holiday home brigade escaping to the country...beggars belief!
Cornwall only has one main hospital in Truro, so if this virus now gets a hold, they are going to be goosed.

I agree Boris is a bit of a baffoon, socially awkward and not a great front line confidence inspiring communicator. I've no doubt the man is intelligent and is a good asset to have in a govt as a minister. Not sure he is a great PM/leader though.

I would rather have him in the think tank maybe not as PM though. Our Chancellor on the other hand I had never heard of but has impressed so far like many others have said.

Apparently we have all the PPE we need (so they stated on their 17:00hrs brief yesterday with Boris and co)... so the fact I have access to 17 masks for front line staff (I have 1200 staff), no aprons, and no surgical masks for the 6k people we are looking after and just 34 25ml handy size bottles of hand sanitiser for the 14k hands we have!

So after a Newton esc working week of 95 hours and counting Im feeling a tad miffed... but still I have a gold plated pension and ample holidays to enjoy... if I survive the stress that is.

Well off back to work now and see what else rears it's head today.
This situation is wholly unacceptable. What can we mortals do to try and help you influence the right people to get this sorted?! It's a total disgrace and I would like one of the TV reporters to raise this as an example in the one of the daily updates to get it in the headights.
Is there anyone on this forum who has the right connections in the BBC/ ITV to get the public spotlight on to this issue and bloody quickly?

Speaking of the devil. Where is @Wattie lm worried he’s not been here for a couple of days.

Perhaps his computer is self isolating as well. As I see it, he is going to be right in the firing line for the next, stronger virus. I’m hoping I get this one so I can, hopefully, build up some sort of immunity, however minor.

I didn’t think I’d say it but this morning really got my goat. We need to have a complete lock down like France with fines etc to control the general public, they quite simply can’t be trusted to look after themselves and protect the NHS from being overrun.

We’re not the NHS but we’ve got guys out working 24hrs every day and all weekend, most of our staff who can work from home are doing stupid hours managing the fall out from illness/isolation and the massive increase in bureaucracy.

Yet the ******* I’ve seen today are paying absolutely no attention to anything they’ve been asked to do.

Sorry to hear of your problems Safrane, if I were you I’d just tell them to sod off and go and have a beer in the garden for the next 3 months.

That was super INTERESTING, now, after reading that I am less sure about Boris and his advisors.

Totally agree.
Wait until they see an ambulance pulling outside a neighbours house and it might start sinking in. Too late by then though.
