It will be very frustrating for them if they get it as they won’t be ventilated. Rationing tools are being used for all patients now with any condition. Iain, I do wonder if the msm need to be explicit with this as it would prompt action from more of us. Do you know if this type of announcement will happen?

I think we all understand that already, anything comforting to say ? Of just more gloom and doom.

We can crack a few jokes to make it more comforting, that’s ok, but it’s pretty much all doom and gloom as far as I can see in reality though for the foreseeable. Sadly there’s still far to many people still adopting the ‘I’m all right jack’ attitude to risk it seems.

Well my mum was admitted last Friday and is in ITU with pneumonia. One person identified as their visitor which is my dad but as he is over 70, he is now being told to self-isolate. Still waiting on the results of the swabs.

Apart from the treatment, those in ITU will often rely on the nurses to be the only emotional care they get and may not see family or friends again.

I am working from home, mainly to keep me occupied.

Am I worried long term? No.

People will die, businesses will fold and @Wattie may be right that capitalism is about to go down in flames or at least we will be in a Greece-like state of purgatory for a decade or more.

But life will go on.

Why is Italy running at around a 9% mortality rate? Are they gathering data differently from other EU countries who are seeing between 1 and 3%?

I can’t see how they could have made it more clear! I am hearing stories of Wetherspoons and other pubs being full even now in London the army has literally been bought it due to peoples stupidity. I literally can’t understand how people can see the news and not adhere. I have refrained from sending in other reports of millennials needing ventilation as it would spread widespread panic. The sooner people of all ages take this seriously the better. The army are literally locking down cities and you still have people on here saying ‘keep a stiff upper lip’ and milling about doing daily jobs. It’s literally mind boggling.

It’s Confirmed that London will be Locked down. Keyworkers only using public transport. All bars etc etc shut. I personally think London will have it worse due to their social fabric and cosmopolitan makeup - but I hope the chief government advisors pop down to a and e to catch up with some of the family members as they Skype for the last time from their iPad in isolation. PS/ half hospital admissions are under 60.

Source please.............

I really hope she is ok. This time next week there would be no ITU facilities so she has the best possible chance now of care. Rest assured the entire health service is putting 100% of the effort they can into each patient.

I am sorry to say - It’s people like you who are putting others at risk.
By trying to keep a sense of humour ?

People are responsible for their own actions until the government tells them they aren't , they're obviously not keeping a distance from other people , more interested in themselves

I haven't panic bought anything , I'm keeping away from other people , washing my hands that much my skin is starting to crack, advising people I know to start taking it seriously , a couple next door (one of which has a serious cough the nhs seem unable to fix ) were going to attend an auction yesterday until I told them i thought standing in a room with 100 people seemed like a bad idea, their car didn't move all day so it changed their minds

this is probably the smallest car forum on the internet , there's only 20 people that post on it so I seriously doubt anyone will be affected by a picture.
