And I don't know about B but A would probs not skimp as they will be passing the costs to her insurance

Edit: insurance is complicated enough without adding more parties and middle men in too it so without more research I'd stay away from B

A. final answer (from me)

C is her insurance right? Wont They be trying to keep costs down? If so I would avoid.
Not sure what they can do to keep costs down, apart from them doing it in house....I choose garage/bodyshop and they pay it and pay for a courtesy car? Or I am being too simplistic?

We had a bump in an Alfa Brera a few years ago non fault. A third party company such as B on the list took over everything and at first all was good. Nice new Mercedes SLK handed over as our Breata was taken away. However to cut a long story short our insurers, AA, took away my no claims until the matter was settled which took 18months and numerous phone calls and emails. So I would say avoid B and personally I would go with A and insist that the car is repaired at a place of my choosing.

Exactly. A will involve C getting a bill from your insco. It's in their interests to make that bill as large as possible and to give you a little as possible.
B means that their insco has to potentially pay all the management costs and have no control of things like the car hire fee agreements.

C it's in their interests to keep you sweet and get it over and done with.

A long time ago my previous 2005 911 was rear ended (2009?). Ended with every organisation I talked to fighting to take over the claim (just like this) including the RAC who recovered the car. I think it was the beginning of this no fault claims business. Anyway my own insurance company didn’t want to get involved and appointed another outfit to deal with it on their behalf. Top quality service in the end with another 911 courtesy car for a month and an approved Porsche body shop (a different Fast Lane from memory) who did an amazing job. Car ended up with a 80% respray as I paid the extra to get it like new. I’d go for anyone appointed by my own insurance company.

Ross Packard Paintwork Ltd in New Milton is the place that Meridien Modena (and I) use. They repair/repaint Maseratis virtually everyday.
They do good work then Ewan? I may drop mine in on the way back from Matts and get a quote. Bumper and bonnet need full respray and probably blending over wing tops for a match.

Indeed they do, and Ross is a nice chap. Last year they completed a full glass-out, bare metal respray to my classic Ferrari, and had a Dino and a Daytona in at the same time (along with an E Type, a Porsche 365, and various Maseratis including a 3200, a Ghibli mk3, and a Lavante). Feel free to mention my name.

Can I get them to send you the bill too? :D
