Hi:

Does anyone know how to remove the headrests on a GTS?
I have read loads of USA forums moaning about how they can't adjust them - but can't find any easy instructions re: removal.
I don't want to just yank on them but can't see any easy release buttons.

You do know that they tilt backwards and forwards?

Thanks Bob. I haven't tried it myself but there was some discord about that topic on the US site. Main dealers had incorrectly told people you couldn't alter them.

I was stupidly hoping there would be a sensible way to slip them off!

Don't ask. Bob will get angry with me....

Hopefully Adam will have my back when it comes to modifications.

I was considering Having the headrests contrast stitched to go with a Steering Wheel Trim, and Alcantara on the interior like the photo attached.I think it would go well with the carbon.

Fair enough, it's your choice & Maserati would be proud of further personalisation I'm sure

Not sure if it's the same system but Volvo's also have non adjustable headrests without any visible easy release.
They do, however, have easy releases inside the seat that you can feel by pressing the back of the seat region a few centimeters bellow the headrest, where the metal rails from the headrest are.

Who knows ... maybe it's the same system ...

Nothing on the parts diagram, apart from something that might be between the headrest and the back

I didn't know until recently that you could tilt the headrest. It doesn't help much and I would much prefer a height adjustment seeing as I'm 6ft4.

I need to change my steering wheel, so much prefer the look and feel of the chunkier ones

I am actually considering selling my facelift one - and getting a Strad one. It makes a massive difference to the interior and the drive in my opinion.
