Thought you were just being a 'prudent' West Yorks type [tight]...but jeass what a rip off.

Mike,

I agree, they do look good, but for a piece of holey metal they are not going to start a trend (now if it were 'holy metal', that would be different).

Surprised Hills aren't providing a Maserati option - perhaps they just need a couple of polite enquiries?!

Have them on my GTS and had them on my 4200 - well worth it if they are cheap, which they are new.

Confused .... is that for all the bits pictured or just the aluminium plate...Surely not just the plate...

When I looked them up a while ago I was shocked by the price of the pedals.
Enzo on the forum mentioned a company in the States called Ultimate Pedals.
I checked them out earlier this year and bought a set directly from them when I was over there.
There web site is http://www.ultimatepedals.com/
I think with shipping and Tax they would come to around £120 for the Brake and Throttle.
Yoiu can also have them lazer engraved as I did, See Below.

That look really good, just like the GS pedals. I think it shares the same size as 3200GT, I have contacted them, will get one soon. Thanks for the link.

They look pretty, but do you think they'll suit the coupe/spyder?I think they're too sporty for the "classic" line of the coupe/spyder.I still prefer them for the gransport.

I assume you would have to drill a couple of holes in your pedals to attach them, for the standard rubber covers just slip over.
Not a big or difficult job.
I think they look great!

That's right,
You just need to drill some holes and use the supplied bolts.
You can decide how many holes depending on if you want symmetrical looking screw heads.

Obviously I think that they look great and make the cabin area stand out especially if you have Maserati logo'd annd piped mats :)
Although I did decide not to have the dead pedal as i though that it might start to look to fussy.

Any chance of a blue peter style here is what I did earlier to show where to drill? The pedals are already very holey....cheers.

I installed the ultimate pedals in my 3200 and it took all of 15 minutes including vacuuming up the metal swarf from drilling the bases.

Simply place the new pedals over the old ones until you have them level ( I used my iPhone with the spirit level app) and mark with felt pen through the drilled holes in the new pedals onto the backing plate. Remove the pedals and then use a centre punch on the felt pen marks. This is where you drill. I used a couple of drill sizes to gradually increase the holes to the correct size. I also wedged a block of wood behind the pedal to stop the pedal from depressing. Once the holes are drilled, bolt the new ones over the top and juggle around until it's lined up and straight.

On the 3200 brake pedal there was a slot already in the pedal that I was able to use and this gave a fair bit of play to allow it to be lined up exactly. Really anyone with a rudimentary handyman knowledge could install them.

I have these on my 4200, they are a bit dirty so I may try and clean them this weekend, anyone got any ideas what to use as I would not want to make them slippey!

Sorry no pics of the process, only the end result. I use a good all purpose cleaner (simple green) and a small nail brush to get them clean then a buff with a damp green scotch pad.

Is the pads sizes exactly the same for 3200 and 4200/GS coupe? If they are, ultimatepedals should have the database for the size measurement?
