£50k in 3 years then hold firm, that will be my plan of attack!

Mind you, the S will be the one to have and we won't see that for another 2 years after launch. Hopefully a Strad too???

F-Type V6 3.0 starts at just over £50k so it will have to be bloody good for an extra £40k. The new Mercedes AMG GT is around £90k but has a V8

When Phil and I saw it at Goodwood it looked sublime but to hear it will be slightly shorter on the Ghibli platform and only a V6 with probably an 8 speed ZF auto it has to compete with some pretty stiff opposition and reading between the lines I fear the 530bhp version will be current Stradale money at least.

A lot of money....it has to be good, a Mercedes will be fast and around 100k and the new baby Bentley with a V6 will be 80k

People will pay a great deal for style & exclusivity, and it has both in spades.

If they are paying £120k for a Strad now, why not £90k for an Alfieri? Mind you, when they said it would be GT money, they didn't say which end of the GT price range it was going to be...

Apologies if this haas ben discussed elsewhere but is there a consensus view on how close to the show car this will be. It looks stunning. Anyone put their name down, can you yet?

Maserati are saying the production car will look very similar to the concept.

A few have placed orders already with dealers; some have taken deposits, others haven't.

Yes very close to production but the rear bumper will change as it's currently one piece and will be a boot, 2 rear quarter and a rear bumper when it hits production. I recon the blue accents will be lost too and items like wing mirrors tend to be more standard off the shelf items.

Personally the only item that buggs me is the teeth front grill, feel it needs to be a standard mesh to match the rear of the car but that's just me

Pricing of cars is getting really pushy these days. We all hoped that the Alfieri would sit below the GT price wise but putting it alongside makes it difficult. Personally I would want a V8 for £90k+ and would happily live with a V6S F Type Coupe for sub £60k after discount instead.

Agree with you there BB......90k I would want a V8 but the way things are going we could be a dieing breed..........The Alfieri does look a 90k car though no matter what they put in her.

That does seem a bit pricy on the face of it, but I guess we will see when the car is closer to production, quite a lot of downsizing in the industry so may eventually make sense. It does look great, think I'll put my name down

I had suspected for some time that this being a homage to the good man himself that it would be halo model with a price to match.

I would love one but think If I want a V8 keeper it may have to be a GS Spyder.... who would have thought that Maserati would be going back to bi-turbos and that they were ahead of that came in the early 80s.
