Looks very nice....Leather looks clean...................Would need to see more history....Last sercice had some good stuff changed but doesn't say when.........The big one is that they do not mention when the clutch was changed.......They last around 30/35k miles and will cost around £2000 to replace......Clutch wear really does depend on how you drive.

Sorry for asking but did you say you have a v6 spyder or 2.0?

Hiya DM My little Alfa is the 2.0 twin spark Spider, I was looking to source the latest [2004/2005] 3.2 face lift Alfa Spider. Alas I just can't seem to find one, so I shall take the big leap to a maserati instead.

And thanks for your information on the clutches. I do hit rush hour traffic in work! I have been picking up tips on pro-longing the life of the clutch.... like put the car in neutral as much as possible. Never leave it in 1st when stationery. Don't rag it off the mark! Am I right? :)

Hiya Andy, cheers for taking a look and your advice. Can I ask, how long does the chain last? Does it need adjusting? Do the 4200's have a balancer belt?

ps. I just asked the seller a question enquiring if/when clutch has been replaced and if he/she has a service history book. :)

ohh, much cheapness the colour combo not bad either. I love either tan, cream or red leather interiors. It might not be the best choice for a first time masser owner like me with what ever fault/s it has. Its temptingly cheap though.

CT, I wouldn't worry about the steering wheel airbag cover, they all do that eventually or ar some point to some extent, the mileage on this motor is nothing, bearly run in at that. My cover has blown between 12 and 2 as it were. One of the members did a thread on fixing it himself last year, can't recall who but he did it in an afternoon I recallj just need to switch off the battery, remove with two screws, ease off the foux leather, sand off the old glue and replace the foux leather again, it's the glue that blows probably because of moisture.

It's more the compressed card sort of hardboard underneath that is the problem; prone to moisture, think its a water based glue too!
