Alfa GT 1.9JtM - Angel tuning

I have never really been into this lark much especially having just spent over £1200 for some work (tyres, suspension etc) but a group of fellow GT owners through Turin Motors got together and had their EMUs remapped to 195bhp with the usual promises of greater this and that. Some 1000 miles I have to report the car is now running as well as their claims and without any damage at the petrol (well diesel) pumps. Anyone considering - apart from thinking - I wish I could get this for 20 minutes work will not be disappointed.

Personally I would speak to Gus at AlfaTune in st.helens he is a frigging master when it comes to Alfa tuning, and will do group discounts etc and is very well priced, will sort out a custom plan just for your needs. And he will never over tune your car.

Hum tempting, costs???

I have done circa 500 miles and the mpg has improved from about 42mpg to 44mpg and the cost - £175 - based on about ten cars having the treatment. However, I assure you the performance change really has astonished me and I was a real doubter at the start of it.

I have to agree, Gus will do a custom map as opposed to a generic drop in map and he writes the maps and advises on any work required to make sure clutches, brakes and suspension is upto the job.

You get what you pay for I'd sooner pay the extra and have a custom remap than a ten car plug and go session :)

when i was looking what to do and who to do the 159 i spoke to a lot of people and a lot of company's, getting mixed results for most of the company's.
i settled on Gus after a few long chats with him and after everyone i spoke to gave him the thumbs up, when it comes to tuning your car you Have to look at all the angles speak to a Lot of people and decide what you want and if it is with in the parameters of your car...
after my experience with Gus there is only one other company i would use if Gus was unavailable and that's AH Motorsports in London mainly because both Alfa Tune and AH Motorsports have a lot of inter company cooperation, and a lot of their tuning is done as a joint venture. Both company's race Alfas professionally and there for know there market Well. I find the problem with other company's is their maps are generic and they dont really know the niche market of Alfa etc and when it comes to a problem they have trouble sorting it out.
Ive used Ah Motorsports and Alfa tune a Fair few times with uprated engine parts and can say they know what they are doing, will offer you advice and help when needed, and will give you the un-suger coated facts making sure you are well aware of what your getting,
