Airbag aggro .

Took the GS out today for some exercise in the sun , only to be rewarded by an Airbag fail lamp and a Passenger Airbag bypass warning lamp . Turned it off , gave it a few minutes and hit it again , lamps return . Next checked the Airbay bypass key switch in the passenger door jamb , no change to lamp , but relay could be heard . Next up threw the battery master switch for half an hour , fired up with warning lamps both present , also had a very confused alarm which took half a dozen attempts to silence it .
Took it out anyway and had the 2 lamps on all the time . Tomorrow I shall endeavour to locate the appropriate fuse . After that I am out of ideas .
Is there anything I have overlooked ?

Thank you , I see from your link I am not alone . First place to start would be my local Ferrari shop then . Do hope it is the switch . Shall check fuse anyway . I've frightened myself reading tales of coolant leaks above the air bag ECU . Garage floor dry , as always .

Nice red GS you have.
It’s still worth taking the passenger side floor mat up and the hinged access panel to the fuses / relays to ensure its all dry.
Also the tunnel carpet off on that side then you can see under the heater box to make sure it’s leak free as well.
Good for peace of mind anyway.

Airbag light is a PITA. Once on they have to be reset on the SD2, mine came on for a low battery, had to cough up £200 to get the thing reset. Would love to be able to reset this myself. I changed the passenger switch, fuses and all sorts in an attempt to get mine to reset, to no avail.

Yes once the passenger airbag switch is replaced, not expensive, the air bag light needs resetting.
It has been confirmed that the Lauch X431 Pros mini can reset the light, but presently they are well over 500 notes.
As Launch makes other obd2 tools that are cheaper with less functionality but can reset srs airbags, there is a possibility of a cheaper tool. Finding it is the problem.

Got my head in there today and found to be bone dry and has that never been touched look about it . Local Ferrari shop say to book in for a dealer type plug in reset and examination as to the cause . Sounds ominous .
