Afternoon gents

With the family continuing to grow and my business taking up so much time, there is a possibility I may sell my good lady!

I'm interested in your advise on its worth please as its hard to judge on Autotrader.

Its a 53 plate, 04 reg Black 4200 with 49,500 miles on the clock. It has a grey interior and is in mint condition. If you've seen my posts on here you'll know what I've spent on her - 4 new tyres, new clutch 2 years ago, new handbrake shoes last year along with 4 new discs and brakes. I also recently had a new windscreen wiper motor fitted.

So what can I expect to achieve for it please??? I appreciate your thoughts. It also goes without saying that if you know anyone looking - please let me know (based in Newcastle).

Cheers

Mark

Brave to let people quote you on the car;

What is the service history like? Condition + History seems to be the main selling point on these...not keen on placing a price on here for you, but FYI I sold mine at the same age with 20k miles more for just shy of £13k

Thanks for the reply - to be honest I wasn't planning on starting a bidding war on here or even selling it via this forum - I Just know that everyone on here knows what they are talking about!

The service history is very good - serviced yearly, main stealer until 3 years ago and specialist indie since. Condition is superb.

Appreciate the advice - if anyone else needs to contact me feel free to DM me.

Cheers

There you go Peter, go on, it will be like a home from home with the grey interior and the gloss on that black looks amazing. Properly maintained and cared for with a great mileage on her.

I take it she is a CC and not a manual X1ons?

Right or not the CC's do seemed to go for more than a GT.....Looks a lovely car from your avatar and the history seems spot on..Good luck.

Thought it was other way around....CC worth a bit more....all depends on condition and if its being chased by a few buyers!!

Yeah it's a manual - to be honest I thought most preferred the manual as CC a little slow in gear change? Individual preference I guess.

Re the value - I did think probably nearer £16k but happy to look at offers. I drove it home tonight and couldn't believe how much car someone will get for such little money! Seriously - its amazing.

There are only 24 in autotrader so quite rare - £16k seems the mark although some at £14k with higher mileage etc.

Having been looking at 4200 prices for the last few months i would say you would be looking at £14k. A few facelifted (2005) are selling for around £17.5,with 40k miles and recent new clutches. I was offered a lovely looking manual facelifted for £15.5. Something that will help you is the lack of black 4200's, really dont see many for sale. I'd love a black one with cream leather!

Good luck.

I Thought mine was a face lifted one as has internal areal, v8 on sides and sky hol suspension? Pretty sure it is therefore £16k is about right?

Black is most certainly the colour - thanks for that advice!

If its a facelift it will have a louvred grille too. They made some changes on the '04 plates but the full facelift was around October (54 plate).

Sorry mate - I meant the final facelifted model - c.2005 is what i have been watching at around £17.5 and was offered one @ £15.5k.

At the moment cash seams to be king with many people willing to move considerably on price, having watch the prices i still think you would be looking at £14k. I'd stick it on for more but would look to get knocked down at the moment. There are so many cars that have just hung around, some are put on PH, then after a month are then put on AT and then they go for a while. All you have to do is look at the trade adverts on PH, its been the same 26 - 27 for a while now.

But my god i love the black.
