Has anyone done this themselves and if so, do you have any tips please...including advice not to do it, if it's best left to an upholsterer?
My GT's interior is too beige/cream for my liking. I love the seat colour, but it's everywhere else too, and there's just no contrast. So I am starting by swapping the cream carpets for black (officially "blu" according to the manufacturer's labels) and have a complete set ready to go in. In my opinion, having black carpet sets off the cream leather much better as well as relieving the monotony of having too much of one colour. It's also more practical than cream carpet.
I have been wondering if this is one of those jobs that I could do myself, or is best left to the professionals. Apart from needing to remove the seats, it looks like the carpet tucks under the sill seals and the centre console, so it could involve quite a bit of stripping out before I can get the new set in. Anyone done it, please?
