I remember speaking to a Mercedes-Benz dealer (Bolton, I think) about this car, prob 18 months ago. Guy was stunned how tidy it was. Have some pics of it somewhere.....certainly different.

The interior is much better than solid black but not for me I'm afraid.

Wonder why it didn't sell for 12 months. I love it a lot. Anyone seen it in person?

Yep - it was the car that made me want a GS rather than a 4200. Its a nice clean looking car especially for the mileage. Didn't get as far as looking at the paperwork but Id say its well worth looking at. Interior actually works quite well, too much of any colour is just too much in a car this size and the tech cloth works well. Even the wife liked it!

I had a good look at this car last weekend and the photos do not do it Justice. The mix of cream and black/graphite tech cloth looks great. Seriously tempted to make a offer but still waiting for a large cheque to be issued.

Issues on the car.
Rust is just starting to bubble under the OSR light [Small spyder appearing]
Small crack/split in the front bumper above the grill
Origional battery [will need a new one soon as it has a tracker fitted]
no SD3 print out re the clutch

Small issues but the devil is in the detail as they say!

Yep Adam, in the same place as you find it on the 3200 just at the bottom edge of the rear lights...there is a water trap there and it rust from the inside out.

Just find it surprising really on a car that is not too old, unless it is a Ford KA which rots as soon as you leave the dealer.

saw a 4200 at Goodwod 2 years back with a load of rust just behind the' styled by' badge, the area is prone to stone strikes and this one has bear rust on show...sad to see one so neglected.

Hey Pete, will be great to have you back in the hot seat again!

Give me a buzz if you want a second set of eyes re: a potential GS purchase.

My CSL had a small bit of rust under the front light.......Got it sorted ASAP.......Its not unusual for a car 6 years old plus to start to get a little Adam.......Especially around stone chips in places you don't notice...
