Had a great experience with Aldous today with my 4200 service.i stayed to watch the master at work as it's in the middle of a farm and not easy to find,so no where to go really.
Aldous went through the car thoroughly and methodically showing the good and bad on his way, luckily for me it was all good.
We finished of setting up the clutch for a faster gear change and WOW what a difference, like driving a new car.
So anybody looking for a company that ticks all the boxes and more !!!!! give them a call, you will not be disappointed.
Thanks Aldous and Harvey

That’s good to read. Thanks for sharing. Another glowing testimonial for the grand master!

I know Dorothy also had a good visit there today and came away very pleased.

I wish I lived closer to those guys. Great to hear some positives from the industry.
When I get my next car I will trust them to inspect it and advise me

Do you mean PIS adjusted for faster gear change? I also wonder what DBW is tricking to make it faster? Making the car think I'm at full pedal and over 7000 rpm? And thats why if you drive at these conditions already, there's no benefit seen?

Get the PIS right and it will feel faster. Voicey did the same on mine, and it's well worth it. You want the plates as close together as they can be, without dragging. Any further apart and the clutch will simply take longer to engage as it has to travel through empty air.

And yes, as far as I know that's exactly what the DBW does (or as close as they will revea)/ If you can drive at 7k all the time, good luck :D
