Vert avantgarde, is that a little Honda Accord coupe next to you cars were so much smaller in those days
I think that is a Honda Accord.
The Citroen had a starting handle when you needed it, there was a hole just above the two Citroen emblem arrows in the grille where you inserted the handle. Mind you I think it might've been a bit of a passion killer if you was out on a date and you had to start the car with it, nowadays it might be a bit of a novelty but back then it was very old fashioned.

And the alternator at the front exposed to salt and grit. Windings corroded = no amps. Rewound ours in the Uni workshop in Cottingham with Radiospares wire.

I not only recall the starting handle but having to employ it several times.
Quirky they were, but they just coped with anything

I seem to remember the steering being very heavy and a lot going on under the bonnet even though it was only 1200.

The CVCC here...

@Nibby, what are you doing in the passenger seat...?

Not sure we had the CVCC here, if we did I missed it which is unusual as I read most of the motor magazines of the time (often got asked was I going to buy and even got asked to leave WH Smiths as I was there so long). They did one on Wheeler Dealers years back which was the first time I had heard of it.

There was someone who use to go in the same pub who had this tiny Honda car in funky 70s orange colour, reckon looking online it was a Honda 600.
