The A/C compressor on my 2006 GranSport Spyder seized up at 26K miles.
Has anyone obtained a replacement through Compressor-Express (Hungary)?

Mark, if you can tie up a forum deal (if they are any good) if would be appreciated.

I know they are about £1,600 for a new one but I am sure if you went nosing around in old alfas it would not take long to find one that fits.

Incidentally, a compressor in my GTS was £5k for the part, luckily I did not have to pay for it.

....no Matt...insulting, its an A/C compressor....40 yr old technology.......how different is it to a Ford/BMW, how much do they cost to make, whats wrong with a generic part.....

To be fair, the dealer (who I wont name as they dont set the prices) said "the one in the Ferrari is £5k and I expect yours will be the same"

Of course Matt.............................but we still pick up the tab and it can make or break an older cars likelihood of being fixed and kept on the road....manufacturers just want you to buy a new car, preferably at 3 yr intervals max!
