4200 Timing Chain Replacement

So timing chain and bits mentioned above all changed. Car returned. I now have a continuous tapping noise. Garage suggested it is just the mixture of new cam followers and old camshafts and nothing to worry about. It should reduce with more miles.

Thoughts?

Stand to be corrected, but sounds like BS to me.

I’m no expert but I was suspicious about the fact that the noise was worse than before.

Any thoughts on what it could be?

Now the fun and games starts with the garage ! At least they acknowledged hearing it before returning the car to me.

Never like to criticise another but it's not right that's for sure.
False economy not replacing all the lifters and have any of the cam lobes moved.
Was it set up with dial gauges ?
Endless questions really and not seeing it either it's not easy to diagnose.
