My 4200 has always idled around 1150 rpm. Its mostly used in the country so it doesnt bother me much. Would prefer 950 rpm but doesnt seem to be adjustable. I have an X431 so if anybody knows how please let me know. The car is a manual by the way.
Have you had a good look around to see if you have an air leak that's making it idle faster ?

That wants a really good flushing through my friend.
I'm thinking the radiator probably wants stripping and cleaning thoroughly and then your cooling will be fine.

Thanks Phil. yea wanna plug in garden hoses and flush all the coolant out till its clear then add in new coolant. :)

Get an air line between the rads( air con rad and steering pump rad cluster) This is a common trap for debris that blocks air flow and reduces efficacy also....

In all honesty, I think the colour thing can be a bit of a curve ball...especially if we are talking different continents and world regions but Im happy to be corrected...
The type of antifreeze you use is important because in your case, you have engine materials that are aluminium...not just the radiator. Most have additives but not all additives are friendly with the aluminium...
Find a coolant that is specified for aluminium blocks, and you should be good to go. I recommend you use deionised water also....
edit- flush coolant and replace every two years...

(Pretty sure that's how you spell aluminium Uncle Sam !)

After all the research and friends sharing info, experience. I use the Honda LLC2 Blue premix coolant.

It took me a while to get the milky out. First I detached the heater hose then I hose it down from there. Both direction until all the water are clear. Then I release the radiatior plug. Mine is a 14mm. Release more milk. Took of the expansion tank and further hose it till clear water comes out.

I wash the expansion tank, soak it with cleaner and also soda with vinegar for hours. Make sure everything is clean.

Fix everything back. By Pass the heater core then pour in the coolant.

I pour for about 8 bottles of 1 lit then start the engine. Loosen the cylinder head bleed valve. Start the engine. Monitor the water temp and top up open the bleed valve till blue color came out. And screw it back

I started the car for a good 30mins or more. Monitoring coolant level. The temperature now is 93 max with the hood on. I can see air coming through the expansion tank breather hose while topping up.

I monitor until the fan on off I think maybe four to five times then the coolant stays at max position. Then I screw back the tank cap. I use total 9.5 litre of premix coolant.

Done. The temp was 93 before i shut the engine . Will drive it later and tomorrow then gonna update here
