4200 Spyder Rear Window

As a prospective new owner I would be very grateful for some help. I have read much of the helpful info on this forum but have a question to which I can't find the answer. I am looking at a 2003 Spyder which must be one of the last with a plastic rear window. However the window has a zip round the outside & a Velcro flap at the bottom. Can anyone tell me if this makes the window easily changeable by just zipping the old out & the new in or does this zip have some other function?

It can be replaced but at the moment only Maserati supply the part and at OEM Price

Mike Roberts has a firm who work on and repair the hoods inc the rear screen, drop him an email.

Many thanks to all. The existing window is good but I was just looking at my future options. Even at OEM prices it will be cheaper that replacing the entire hood but I will give Mike Roberts - Maserati Shed - is that correct. I may well go down & see him if I do purchase - not too far from Bath.
