4200 Rear view mirror

I removed the headliner today to go & be re-trimmed. In the midst of wrestling it out unfortunately the rear view mirror got in the way & came off. I've been through the car but can't see the trim piece anywhere that the drawing says should have been on it and to be honest I can't actually recall if it was, I didn't pay that much attention of course. So I have as shown below but can't really work out what goes where. The trapeziodal bit in the top of the mirror slides out, it is held in by a central depression underneath which a sprung loaded ball sits in. I assume it should be on the screen bracket?

This is left on the screen. What am I missing, mentally or phsically? It's wider that what's left on the mirror, but should the trapezoidal bit fit here? Is this what holds the trim piece on?

Looking at pictures of the trim piece (67036000) https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/part/maserati/67036000?id=164572 it's a reasonable size & I would have thought I'd see it under the seats or in the footwells, but nothing.
Anyway, if anyone's had these bits off before I'd appreciate some guidance.

The link you posted is for the bit that’s covers the mounting bonded to the screen.

The bracket stuck to the screen that you pictured has nothing to do with the rear view mirror, it’s a mount for a toll tag. The mirror will attached within the black area.

Right, so just slide that bit out & glue it onto the black area, then slide the mirror onto that till it clicks in place?

Thinking on it, there was a dash cam wire fed up to the mirror area which I'm removing so maybe the grey bit was for mounting that?

Perhaps the cover was removed to fit the dash cam, I can't recall it being there.
