I’m doing what few people seem to do with these cars - giving huge amounts of detail with over 200 photos and some videos of the cold start and driving. This is because I’m part owner of the auction site and our entire ethos is openness and transparency. We’re the only online auction to behave like this - we don’t allow sellers to write their own articles or take their own pictures. It’s all done by our paid professionals.

I know I haven’t had it long, but with nowhere indoors to store it and an unforeseen need to move house I just can’t keep it. I’ve done loads to it in the time I’ve had it, most of which is detailed in the auction.

In addition to the stuff listed I’ve replace the ashtray script with real silver and I’ve de-stickied: the central vent, the other air vents, the headlight switch, and the mirror switch. This is most of the work done now!

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I'm impressed!!..........The advert is very thorough and honest. I think you pretty much well covered everything (works that have been carried out/what requires doing) for the next owner so they can buy/bid with confidence and no coming back to you with any unforeseen faults that you have not covered.
My only 'friendly' criticism would be is I personally would have given the car a good clean (internally/externally) to make the car look more desirable and also in some of the film I couldn't make out if it was dirt or stone chips on the body work! But that is just my PO.
Well done and GLWS!!

Thanks! It was very clean when we started but because of the mandatory test drive it got rather dirty by the end...It’s a good point though, and I think for winter road tests we need to get the ‘atmospheric’ shots done before we drive it anywhere. It’s difficult as we try not to photograph in locations the give away the owners address.

Bonnet looks a weird colour mismatch...?

Yes, the nosecone a bit off colour unfortunately. At some point it’s been painted to remove stonechips as I can’t see anything wrong underneath. Hopefully the photos made that clear. I’d want to get it blended to make it a really smart show car.

I saw that Tim but put it down to the paint reaction on plastic is different to metal especially with metallic paint. In other shots the colour match looked correct.

Nice looking car. My concern is that I've never heard of Landsail Tyres.
My general rule of thumb (rightly or wrongly) is if a car has cheap tyres on, what else has been done on the cheap?

Apparently, the plastics were painted off the car from factory....
Not ideal from a paint shop perspective but Maserati made it work, so clearly doable....

Also looks a bit off with the wing though...?

One wing and the nose have been painted a completely differant colour to the rest of the car . I'd sack your painter.

That is how an advert should be. Good luck, looks like an honest car. What's the reserve? Feel free to pm - may sign up and put some bids in :)

Great advert, pity the paint looks off in some pics but lighting and digital photos can do that and most buyers will understand it.
One thing though, the adverts says look at pics to assess condition and there are dozens of what appear to be random shots of the body and that might lead people to think there are problems with that panel, I am sure that’s not the case but that was my take on it.
good luck with the same and sorry you are leaving Maserati ownership behind.

Landsail= Cheap Chinese Sh**e, no place on a performance car.

My thoughts exactly! If I were keeping it longer term I’d replace them straight away. I assumed the buyer would want to choose their own. I looked on black circles and a set of PS4s was under £400 due to only being 18”.

Really wouldn't advertise the fact that it is fitted with cheap shi**e tires, just say 'all tires have good tread' or words to that effect.

As I said previously, the key thing for us is to be open and honest.

Good on you, I'm actually being very hypocritical, my car had 4 different makes of tire on it when I bought it, 3 premium brand, and one 'smacher', my attitude was they're only tires, easy to replace.

I don’t wish to come across as a virtual tyre kicker but I echo other peoples’ sentiments regarding the tyres. I understand your thinking about it, but I read the ad before the rest of this thread, and went Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Landsails?!

The issue is, not everyone will bother to read this thread and understand why... and dismiss the car for the reasons GeoffCapes said.
