I'm looking to make an order on eurospares to have all the clutch related bits and pieces changed.
Noticed that there are two versions of the clutch currently for sale:
http://www.eurospares.co.uk/searchResult_one.asp?S=196335&TM=3&TMo=494&TA=1&TB=28021

First one, with a valeo box picture attached, is ~110 pounds cheaper than the other one and marked as "Valid from car As. Nr. 9254"

Anybody knowing more about this? Did someone order the cheap version?

I do believe, but you will have to check, the earlier and probably cheaper clutch was prone to tangs breaking and I believe that the more expensive part is a dual or strengthened tang part.

You'll need to speak to them to fine out exactly what the issue is.

And the answer:

Hello Alex,

196335 clutch kit £595,00 + vat in stock

This is the correct clutch for this car, I think the clutch disc is bigger on the other clutch.

Seems odd to me that the old clutch version has a bigger disc...Anyway, will proceed to order the new, and cheaper, one.
