who are these bands, only ever heard of deep purple and led zep.

Wurzels and the goodies were comedy type bands Adam. I got a brand new combine harvester.....please tell me you know that! Def Leppard were Sheffield's answer to Aerosmith and surely you've heard of Genesis, James May absolutely detests them, pure shite!

Genesis is a band, Peter Gabriel & Phil Collins that I know of. Not a fan but you must know 'Invisible Touch' & 'I can't Dance'. They're all I know. How have we got to this from facelift 4200's????

I had an MY'04 4200 ('03 upgrades) similar to the Nuvola car you linked to Rossyl, however were I to do it again now with your budget I'd definitely be looking for an MY'05 car with the final upgrades. Putting the visual changes aside, the mechanical improvements marked.

Hi, Miles - Thanks for that. Just wondering what those final mechnical changes were and if there was any way to spot them?

As for Genesis - Phil Collins was a member, how could anyone not know them! Tonight, Tonight, Toniiight....

The mechanical changes aren't possible to spot as far as I'm aware but if the car has the new grille and GS rear bumper then it will be an upgraded car, so long as they've not been retro-fitted. The first ones were on a 54 plate.

Best way is to drive a 2002 car, a 2003 and then a face lift 2004/2005...Taht way you will see which is best for you..... I've driven all three and was luck enough to have a 2005 face lift for a week and for me the 2005 just felt more together and a better performance package.....They are all great but for me the last on line is the better car..

Thanks.

Might try a 2005 on Sunday, test drove a 2004 recently

Thanks Dicky, 54 plate is another likely addition to the spec!

Hi Rossyl, Dicky and Andy have covered it. Basically you won't spot the mechanical changes, but so long as you have the GS bumpers on an 05 plate you should be fine. Completely agree with Andy regarding driving a face-lift car. That's where the mechanical changes come into their own. Just feels much better put together, well in my experience anyway.

Thanks guys, got to say whilst the hunt is fun it is also frustrating and at times confusing.

In terms of prices there is a blur between 2005 4200s and 2006 GS's. So I am now back to considering a GS. Also not sure at the difference between GS and GS LE's.

Certainly a learning curve!

And don't assume that if it's listed as LE it actuality is an LE. There's a bit of a habit by some sellers to quote LE just because it has some of the LE additions. Not so, that's a GS with extra's. Speak to Dicky Rossyl and he'll clarify.

Thanks Dicky and Miles. There's a rather cracking GS on Autotrader £24k only roughly 20k miles, BUT its already sold.

Its not from a specialist and would need a detailed Indie check, but it definitely seemed a good deal. Its even red with a cream interior. Bugger!

Thanks Dicky will definitely give you a ring tomorrow.

Rossyl, that car has been talked about before mate...Not a good one...Started out at around 28k and has been dropping over the last year....Our very own Dem know's the dealer and I believe he knows someone who has worked there...He said on here that it looked like it had been in an accident or had been rolled.............So just as well you didn't go and see it.....

I'm pretty sure all LE's have it, certainly all the ones I've driven, about 12 I think. However, I've an original brochure on the way from Frank so I could be wrong, I'll check when it arrives but assume it's the same as yours.
