Turns out I need one. Do I recall someone saying that they could be re-furbed? This sounds a more appealing option right now.

If they are Bilstein, C ( and I have no idea if they are or not ),
I believe this is the place you need... around £80 a corner...
I have not used them (yet), but I managed to get hold of a set of 550 dampers,
that I will get refurbed at some point and keep as spares, so did some research a while back.

Thought they where SACH dampers when skyhook, and Bilstein when non-skyhook, although I believe all UK market cars are skyhook, so SACH.

Was that Skyhook, Davy?

(Just realised that's a stupid question, if all UK cars are Skyhook) :)

Does he do an exchange, I wonder. I'll call him when I get back to the UK

Awesome, thanks, Dave. I've pinged him an email.

£750 new was the last thing I wanted :)

Well the 3200 has adjustable shocks (Bilstein I think) there is a Ferrari motor on the top of them. I am sure these are not the skyhook units. However be sure that is what you have as there is a lot of confusion over these systems.

Ahh David will know. I assumed you were on a 4200

Confirmed with David, £120 a side, as an exchange.

Sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Anyone know if these are hard to swap?

I changed the rear shocks on my old 3200. It's a job a competent amateur can do, but is time consuming and can be a bit fiddly. The whole boot carpet etc. needs to come out and then you needs hands/arms like Mr Tickle combined with Inspector Gadget to get to the bolts. Make sure you don't shear off the Skyhook actuators as well!

I did mine a couple of months ago,the hardest part ...except for refitting the wire clips that hold the skyhook actuators in place was the refitting of the boot trim panels, the mouldings are so riged!

Have fun..

That I've had loads of practice in. I may do some prep for Felice as well. It turns out I'm in the market for new rear discs and pads about the same time, so nice to keep the costs down a bit.
