Perhaps I was too quick with my conclusion: the OP interior picture looks actually rather close. Different light on the camera or a bit dirtier, or something like that?

I think Avorio is a more whiter colour, HtFC4200’s looks cream going by the nearest side piece to the seat which is called something like Bianco.
Not at home at the moment but might get the proper name off the wrapper from new front mats when I get back later.

Thanks all. I've ordered a steering wheel restore kit and later I'll order a kit from colourlock for the rest of the interior (well the avorio bits) lol

This is definitely not avorio. Avorio is much brighter
I feel it is Avorio, I have it from Furniture Clinic. It’s ivory with a hint of yellow. My FC version of this is whiter and lack a little yellow.

The 4200 came in
Avorio (ivory with a hint of yellow)
Tan (darker beige and orangey)
Tabbaco
Blue (navy blue)
Grey (elephant Hyde)
Red (burgundy/darker wine)
Black

If I contact furniture clinic, what's the likelihood they'll know Avorio you reckon, or am I going to have to biopsy my beautiful maserati?

Still can't believe I own one btw Drove past GrayPaul yesterday, honestly never thought I could be a customer, nevermind when I arrived home from a trip away.... to see it on the drive :love2:

I contacted furniture clinic and they got straight back to me. You don't happen to have a reference number linked to the Avorio order? It appears they can match from that, otherwise it will have to be off a sample sent in.

Great work btw, they look beautiful.

Cheers

I do but it needs a bit more yellow in it. It’s a bit light. I’d be interested if you send in a swatch for matching if it’s closer. You can trim a bit from behind the rear armrest.

Get:
Leather prep (thinners strips sealer for spraying)
UltraCiean (amazing on dirty leather)
Matched colour
Semi-Matt sealer

This gun it’s brilliant and doesn’t clog:

With piping you have to mask it off and with coloured stitching you need to get 2mm (1mm is best but near impossible to apply) fine line tape, you can get this from model shops. This stitching masking is probably the hardest bit of the job and very frustrating as it keeps blowing free when you first use the spray gun.

You need to remove the masking whilst it’s still tacky and run your finger over it. About 15mins after your final colour coat and then sealer over everything.

I use a scalpel to etch off any colour that has got onto the stitching.

I've got Furniture Clinic ultra clean already, but not tried it out yet.

I just gave the leather a clean with autoglym and a rub with leather honey to try to soften it up.

I'll try and cut a sample and send it off, will report back when sorted.

There are some cracks on the side of the passenger seat I need to fix too.

The cracks should get filled in by the paint. What I do is after it’s clean, rub with finger the dye liberally into the crack area a couple of time and wipe smooth.

FC do do a flexible filler and you will need a putty knife to scrape it flush or it will look hideous. Try the finger thing first, you can always go back over it.

Matt is obviously doing a whole seat repair to a very high standard. For those amateurs out there there are still half decent results to be achieved just with cleaner, sponge applied dye and sealant. Worth a crack at it if you are feeling brave.
