Certainly hope not mate.Thanks all.
It’ll get sorted just worried it’s unlucky.
Hope it doesn’t get to this stage though.

Not sure if you’re joking Dave, but
£60
I don’t have a MD I can go to.
I’m still waiting for two plastic clips from Maserati that were ordered at the start of December.
It’s a TRW part, they make loads of racks not just Maserati. The boots I got were supposed to be the correct ones.
The new ones are the correct type but for some reason there was a correct one and a spurious one in the box of two.
And £60
If you are joking.
Without going down the route of solicitors, what can you do?
I see what you mean - as others have said I hope you get sorted soon and can start enjoying the car and falling in love with it all over again.
Worst I have had was about 9 months off the road with one problem after another and a loony list of long deliveries from Italy. It seems like a bottomless pit on occasions. I was a bit luckier than you on gaitors as i got some from Eurospares I think and they fitted ok, but they were more than £60. I didnt care since they fitted and the problem went away. The track rod ends don't last long either i should warn you, the rubber joint covers perish and the joints get dry and seize up. So if in doubt I would change these too as they are fairly cheap.
We all need periods where the car runs well in between these desperately frustrating jobs to rebuild the excitement of it running, I hope you get there sooner rather than later sir.
This really surprises me.Without going down the route of solicitors, what can you do?
I tried to return the car after I got it but settled for having the roof, rear quarters and wheel arches painted as I was advised that pushing the point of a refund would require legal advice.
Stick with it, you've obviously got the talent to sort it, mines been off the road since July with a still to be diagnosed problem, but I will get there one day, got serious lack of v8 withdrawal symptoms, but hey ho life's a ***** sometimes, and sometimes just taking a break from it for a while (as I have) and coming back to it with rejuvenated enthusiasm can be a good thing.
This really surprises me.
I note you haven't mentioned the name of the dealer you bought the car from so neither will I. You took the forum's advice and bought the supposedly best car for sale from the forum sponsor that everyone points members to. Ok the dealer, and specialist who inspected it, can make mistakes but when it became apparent you had been sold a lemon I am at a loss to understand why the dealer didn't give you your money back. To my mind their reputation depends on such goodwill.
I'm also surprised that a car advertised as pristine (including the underside) needed so much paintwork.
You are no doubt aware that the "end float" window for manual cars tends to be in the 25k to 35k mileage range and given the issues you have faced I suspect your car may be at risk.
Fingers crossed you get the oil issue sorted.
I don’t believe it’s appropriate to name and shame people on the internet.
I feel somewhat stupid as there is very little I can’t do to a car so should have inspected it myself rather than taking another’s word for it.
If this is a forum sponsor, I think you should at least tell Conaero

Potentially quite a lot of good. Conaero (Matt, the forum owner) recently posted that he would help sort out any problem a member had with a sponsor. What good would it do? It’s a bit like GeoffCapes’ thread, much as we’d like recompense from being done over, unless the other party agrees all you can do is throw a few things around, get in a huff and then forget about it.

Worst I’ve had was a 540i with a slight missfire. Over 12 months between myself, the local mot place and my BMW specialist none of us could fix it. Eventually failed its mot on emissions and I sold it spares or repair. It’s the only thing I’ve never fixed.
Marvellous job sir, looks amazing.
Thanks. It’s now in Germany, had a little lump in my throat when it went.
