Hi i thought i would give you an up-date of my on-going gearbox problems::
After 5 different so called gearbox/Maserati specialists my car went to Marios at Autoshield Manchester. After only one day Marios rang me to explain the problems with my car, they were: both rear Phonic rings needed to be replaced and my re-build auto Gearbox was no good.!!! Marios explained that he knew of no one who could re-build these gearbox so the only solution was find a replacement box and fit it. Marios removed my old box and fitted a low miles replacement box he sourced and replaced the Phonic rings, he also rang the company who re-build my orignal box and explained to them that is was no good and arranged for me to return it to them so i could try and get some of my money back that i had paid for my re-build. He only had my car a short time then called me to say it was all done. I traveled to his Garage this morning with a van and spare driver to collect my car. Marios was a very friendly and helpfull. He explained what he had done and said i would be very pleased with the car. He mechanics put the old box in the van for me and we set off back to Sunderland, fingers/legs crossed. The car drove faultless. changing up and down the gears as it should, no A/S/R or A.B.S or any other lights on the dash. Its the first time i have used the car in full working order and what a difference it was brilliant. All the way back to Sunderland and it never missed a beat. I missed going to Le-Mans in it last year due to the box issues (had to go in my mates car) but looking forward to the journey this year. I cant recomend Marios highley enough, he was really great. If anyone needs a GOOD HONEST SPECIALIST then Marios @ Autoshield is the man you need. :auto11:
