3200 cambelt

hi guys,

does anyone have the dayco part number for the 3200 cambelt ? im trying to order from my dayco supplier but cant cross reference it :) :)

no no dicky they have belts.....i changed mine last year...the chains need to be changed on 68k......

had mine done with a full service i paid £1500 last year through main dealer.....indies are the same price....

I also paid £1500 through a main stealer for the big service a couple of years back, however servicing is very simple and certainly something I could do myself, the part is £70 ish... The chain is advisory around 68k, its only worth doing if its making a noise as its an engine out job, thats the beauty of chains you get a warning whereas you don't with a belt.

Cambelts are physically easy to change but with no markers on the pully's it is a skilled job to get the timing spot on.
They are very sensitive to timing and you can lose 80/100 BHP if the timing is slightly out.

Out of my league.

yes you need to have DTI gauges to dial the cams in,though relatively easy once set up.its all in a days job.chains are not to bad a job to do either,the worst bit is refitting the sprocket locking peg.easily dropped down the back,
