Since having my 400i serviced with new plugs, fluids, filters, dizzy, etc, I'm nearly getting into double figures. Well, I say nearly - the average is about 8 mpg. But I'm lucky enough to live in the countryside, so I never get stuck in any traffic.

I usually see about 22 (as an average) in both the QP V and QP IV.

I got over 32 mpg in mine recently, admittedly on the M1 doing about 65/70 mph! (I even took a photo to prove it to Mrs Dandruff)

I would dread to look at the normal consumption figures for my everyday driving. They must be hideous. So best not to look! :)

I had that sort of consumption on my 4.2 on a 600 mile motorway trip...and 29/30 pretty regularly ... and cruising at 90mph +...

The 4.7 not quite that good .. but driven in manual mode with quite a few short urban trips still averaging 19mpg + late 20's on a motorway trip .. and not dawdling either.. just not much braking ..

I got mine down to 4mpg, using a phone app for the mpg but average is 14-15
Appalling really 3.2ltrs is not a huge engine

Interesting. I have driven 5,322 miles so far this year. Which has equated to £1,765 and is an average of 16.61mpg.
