Yes, I must have been driving like a ***** ...

At the weekend, I went down to Kent which was a c260 mile round trip. I was doing around 75ish most of the time and was on cruise for a fair bit of it. I had the in laws on board so I didn't have the sport mode on but I didn't expect to see figures like that, I have previously barely got above 18.

I do apologise, it won't happen again

i have occasionally got reasonable fuel consumption out of the 3200, i think once 28mpg (before i discovered the problem). Its not the point is it :)

Has anyone 13-14? I have to admit that i am not the slowest driver on the planet, but my consuntion rarely rises above this.

Normally it's 15 average when I fill up.
On the 50 roadwork sections, on cruise, the trip computer if I reset it gets to the dissy heights of 24!

All depends on the roads being driven. My car can do 12 or 24. Average is 21 but I do a fair bit of motorway into Edinburgh in that.

Would be interested to know the consumption at a steady cruise control of say 80, if on a continental trip say through France on the autoroute.

I saw nearly 30mpg once - through the average speed cameras on the M1. Steady 50ish mph on the cruise. It didn't last long though.

I usually get mid 20s on the trip to Le Mans.

yes i think 28 was at 55mph with cruise control on, car warm, normally i get 21-22, if I am giving it more herbs yes more like 15. If the speed limiter is in the passenger seat more like 23-25

When i sold mine the trip computer showed almost 76 hours of driving at an average speed of less than 30mph!!

We covered 2274.25 miles together and I averaged 15.58miles per gallon!!!!!.

So that'll be around 146 Gallons of fuel………not cheap….don't wanna do the maths on that one…..

I do some regular 300 mile trips in mine and always achieve either high 23 or low 24 according to the trip computer, never done a brim to brim comparison though as I can't be arsed lol

It's also better not to know how optimistic the computer actually is in comparison to reality :)

I got over 32 mpg in mine recently, admittedly on the M1 doing about 65/70 mph! (I even took a photo to prove it to Mrs Dandruff)

I would dread to look at the normal consumption figures for my everyday driving. They must be hideous. So best not to look! :)

32???????????

Are you sure you haven't swapped out your engine with a Ghibli Diesel, that's mighty impressive
