2016 QP6 - MTC / Garmin loading issue

Car is a 2016 model year Quattroporte S.
A strange thing has started happening. When setting off, the MTC Garmin Sat Nav comes up with the garmin loading screen. Takes much longer than normal to then get to the nav screen. It then cycles back to the loading screen, eventually loads up, cycles back to loading screen and so on the cycle continues. All other functions on MTC are fine.
Is there a known issue or a way to rest the garmin or MTC completely?

Is this the Magentti Marelli device? Can you post a photo? I can never recall what's fitted to the QP models.

Most likely reason is a failed (failing) hard drive. @Contigo is the expert but he's currently indisposed it appears

Thanks for your reply, god I hope not!.

Sometimes the sat nav eventually works but this cycle is becoming more usual.

Well that's a Bose I think, but the diagnosis is probably still the same

Phil can provide replacement for the MM unit. I think there was someone not so long ago working on a Bose one but it went quiet

I dont know who makes the unit, but the "sound" is the Harmon Kardon system if that helps at all.

As everything seems fine (and the nav at times), I'd like to try a nav or Mtc or even car reset if anyone knows the procedure for that please.

This is the QP6 ... Bit disappointing that the problems seem tp cross QP versions and NIT makers!

I had similar on my Ghibli.. luckily it was just under warranty so they replaced the unit.
