2011 QP S vs GTS

Hi Guys,
Here in Poland, Maseratis are quite thin on the ground and there is not a lot to choose from. I have made up my mind to get a GTS but the only one available is 100,000 mile example, history is good etc, I've attached some photos.
The other option is 30,000 mile S for the same money. I know the main difference is the suspension and exhaust, but I am looking to put a Larini on anyway so perhaps it's not that important. The suspension I understand can also be changed for the Bilsteins. But it's not a GTS and never will be....

What would you guys go for?
thanks

That mileage is quite a gap. I would probably go for the S. Also the interior of this GTS is a bit extreme to my taste.
Have you considered importing a car from Germany/Italy?

I had an S. Has this one already had the front grille changed to a gts as they are normally chrome? The black convex were the 4.2. Black concave is gts.
I had exhausts done, lowered springs and new wheels plus the grille and you really would not tell the difference in my opinion. This gts has the bose system which is junk and if it goes wrong pretty much unfixable. The S can take the SM carplay option if wanted. It looks great in silver.

I have recently moved from a QPV to a QPV S and that's enough for me. Plenty of power and good sounds just with Sports Cats. The S skyhook suspension felt a bit strange at first but I have told myself that Sport is not szorstki but solidny and non-Sport is not walcować but dosiadanie (I'm trying to get Google translate to say not harsh but firm and not wallowy but swoopy).

Continuing from the comments above, I replaced my convex chrome for a GT S grille, which is nicer. And also changed the callipers to red, NOT YELLOW, which is essential.

I'm not a huge fan of the colours of either of your choices - but that's up to you of course. If the white paint is Fuji, I'm told it is VERY expensive to re-spray any dents.

I don't think mileage matters all that much; condition and history is more important. But things do wear out with use, and 30k is nice and 100k is quite a lot....

I would take the (silver?) S, and then change items such as the exhaust to your own choice/specification.

That interior is horrible. A nice Sport GTS is worth the wait in my opinion ( I am biased obviously).

You can recognise a Sport GTS by:

Dark outside window trim
2 oval exhaust pipes
Suspension is lowered about 10mm

If you drive it: on downshifts you get throttle blips (worth the price difference by itself!), louder exhaust sound when you press sport, firmer ride than basic and S

Is there a difference in the gearbox programming? Or is just the exhaust?

Both models are great value, but need specialist care and condition/service history is all important. I expect you’ll have to be patient and as suggested elsewhere extend your search geographically.

I looked at an S a few years ago, but then I was pointed towards this film and thereafter only a GT S would do. Good luck with your search.

I wonder where the car from the film is now?

Not really mechanically minded, and don't want to wait:). As far as I am aware from the owner the Silver S has not been modded so the grill is standard.
Is it a 4.7? Just checking..... They will both sound the same with valvd exhausts. Supposedly the gearbox is quicker on the GT S in sport and if has launch mode but I never thought my zf was slow.

With x pipe, sports cats and modded boxes the S blipped at certain gear changes. It was not,in your face though.

There is no launch mode

I've been waiting... But I suppose it falls to me to say (again) that there is no "GTS", it is a "GT S".
