Just wondering if any of you guys are running with 19''Rims VS the 20''?

I bought my GTS this past spring and it came with a set of 19'' winter tires. I've driven the GTS with the 20'' all season tires the whole summer and got used to the limitations. Today I installed the 19'' winter tires and took the car for a run to the store. The car seemed to be quicker, the gearbox shift points have changed for better and the rear tires want to spin at a pull off. I'll take it for another spin tomorrow morning when the roads are quiet and see how it performs.

What are the tyre sizes on your 19's?
It looks on the pictures like the tyre profile of the 19's hasn't been adjusted to match the OEM size, so the rolling radius is much smaller on the 19's.
Smaller rolling radius will mean they will rotate much faster than the correctly sized 20's you removed. This will definitely make it accelerate faster, as you are essentially changing the gearing of the car. Obviously the top speed in each gear is reduced and will make your speedo over-read quite a bit. It will also reduce your MPG.

I assume you have changed all four wheels? If not, it will play havoc with the ABS, traction control etc. as the rolling radius difference between the front and back will be too great.

Hi Sam
Yes all 4 wheels were changed the Fronts are 245/40/R19 & Back is 285/35/19 this GTS now drives the way it looks. I do prefer the look of the 20'' which full the wheel wells.

This appears to be the right of it.
