2010 QP V sport GTS for sale

They have it advertised on AT as 27k...….No mention of an auction on their advert. Surely this isn't right. If you cant buy the car for 27k then they shouldn't advertise it as such...……..Is there some kind of trade description thing you could have them on ?
They did the same last time.
The eBay and pistonheads ads mention it is an auction estimate, but not the AT one oddly.

Yeah it is really off putting in my opinion and makes them seem a bit amateurish.
Obviously I still bought mine through them and I don’t have any complaints although contact was minimal - probably because things went well.

It would be odd to mention it on PH & eBay and not AutoTrader. Methinks it's down to Auto Trader – either auctions aren't allowed, or there's no possibility of introducing the words 'estimate' or 'between X & X'... I

They could mention it in the description so don't think they could use that as an excuse.......I am not a fan of these auction companies popping up......Don't trust them....Give me old fashion sales everyday. I like to go along and view the car and build that relationship with the seller or dealer. You get a better idea of what the car is like.

All 4 cars I’ve bought at auction have had massive hidden issues. What’s that Einstein quote about doing the same thing over and over again?

The other slightly suspect thing is with AT ad is that it is listed as a trade seller. This is not actually true, the sale will be a private one with no warranty etc. Maybe by saying ‘see our website trade classics’ is enough to cover them.

Anyway, I imagine they just using all these other platforms, as well as their own, for maximum exposure/marketing. If you were the seller, you’d want as much interest generated as possible I suppose.

Plus, the main thing is, the car looks to be a decent example, lots of history. A rare chance to bag a GT S, I’m looking forward to Thursday to see what it gets to. Nothing else to do at the moment!

Yes beware of some of these auction platforms (not specifically the one mentioned ) .... the 6% is taken immediately as the auction ends , you go to collect and the description is inaccurate you will have difficulty getting your 6% returned .

Also this one which from the reg looks like it was recently registered in Ireland. https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/cla...-february/2004-maserati-quattroporte-ab4-s-a/
The reg is a n.i one. It’s quite common for mainland cars to wear n.i reg as they are dateless so making them desirable. The reg is oig not as it is presented oi g. That’s just asking for a ticket. Using a n.i reg is really simple to do and doesn’t really cost that much (depending on the plate) and are totally legal provided the plate is registered to the car properly. A Southern Ireland car is a whole other kettle of fish as they’re are not part of the u.k

bidding looks slow, still showing 13k in my view. Did not register or log in does that make a difference?

I think the one you mean is "pay more for your cars then tight wad"
;)

Looks like it might take a bit of luck to get to reserve. I guess it’s reserve us the low of the estimate so 27kish

26.5k not bad for a private sale in the middle of winter, in a lockdown, when you can’t even see/inspect/drive the car in person.
Or maybe it was the black wheels and badges that scuppered it. :)

I'm suprised it made that much from one of these auction places......First offer could be their best in current climate.

Oh c’mon, BLM would have boosted the price.

Black livery matters!!!

Ruins it for me all that black lettering and Trident. Take that all back to Chrome and the wheels to grigio and it might look alright.
