2010 QP Music Options

I just use my mobile phone with Waze to be honest (connected via Bluetooth so it plays through my Bose)! Wireless! And I don't have to hide any devices in the glovebox every time in jump in and out! I suppose it depends on what you want/need from it really. Glad it's working. Do you get track names on your Bose head unit etc too? Couldn't view the vid.
Yep, the CarTab displayed my playlists exactly as I have them on my phone, which is what I wanted as well

Thanks Gaz, so did you Velcro the magnetic mounts and if so will they be difficultto remove?
No stick magnetic base onto the wood not the soft dash. Weight is held by the top of the airvents. Magnetic holders just keep it in place.

Bit of cloth tape from velcro protects the soft coating on the airvents.

When I sold car I removed one and left the other as a phone holder.

Yeah, I haven’t driven it with it yet, I’m still not sure how I got it all to work, so might have problems replicating it.
Did you buy the CarTab as well?

I had *a* car tab type though, bought from another member. Excellent screen, front and rear cameras but as I say, terrible *terrible* audio. And the phone rather seemed 'either or' ref tab or car

All obviated now with a spanky Android head unit

Peelable 3M VHB was what I used. Absolutely firm mount and did what it said. Peeled off with no issues

Thanks for your advice, yes it looks like that tape is what I need but there are various types and they all claim to be permanent, I don’t want to order a version thatnon’t come off the dash, these are the variants that Amazon advertises, which version did you use?: -

Well finally got my Maser back yesterday and had a chance to try the Bovee/Cartablet combination, it worked superbly, the only niggle being that when you made a call and then it recommenced playing music, occasionally it would loose its place that it was playing.

I’ve secured the head unit to the top of the dash, I just hope it doesn’t mark if removed.

Thanks for all your help.
