£18k readies would tempt him , Not worth a look untilll it has been ViC certificated , its only that certificate that will enable DVLA to supply you with a log book

If there was an issue with the B posts and the work was, as suggested done by the local garage, then how can we be sure that the structural integrity of the car has not been compromised?

Personally Adam , if i was interested in buying it , i would want to remove the inner covering of the B post to reveal the work that was done , Boron steel has amazing strength, and as i said previously it will not give past a certain amount , failing not trusting your own judgement/inspection you could offer to pay for autolign to inspect it for you, with that charge to be knocked off the total purchase price providing they okay it , and it wouod then have, one CAT removed of the HPI and a vehicle inspected marker applied , they charge around £250 and need around 2 days notice

I agree Frank, you just don't know what you are getting..The idea of a nice cheap QP ia all well and good but I think I would prefer to stick me money into a good 4200.

Hi Lozcb
Yes i know of autoalign but i have asked them and i do not believe they have the power to remove the Cat listing.
What you will have is a "Cat C condition alert!" and after you will have a "Cat C Condition inspected."
For very specific values this company would not really be of any use as
1.they do not have that much knowledge of the high end/power cars,
2.they can only give a superficial evaluation of the car based on what is visible.(they cannot start removing doors pillars and panels)
3.they would not necessarily have any point of reference regarding the cars impactual damages.
I spoke to the owner of ther company and remained unconvinced that what they offer would benefit the cars resale values or even confirm safety as they can only validate superficial aspects and these cars are critically setup.
4 anyone buying a cat C-D car would not be paying the extra for the condition inspected on the HPI,they either get it privatly inspected or dont bother.
I went down this road with a 2 car porsche and could not really see the point in the excercise as its just a matter of changing wording on an \HPI

With any high power car we would only be confortable with a main dealer repair or condition inspected and approved by a main dealer IMHO (or at the very least a repairer that understood the car
