After seeing my newly acquired Quattroporte rear discs & pads have seen better days I am going to give the system a bit of an overhaul with new EBC Yellows Front and Rear pads and new discs on rear (fronts are new).
My question is on brake fluid flushing and replacement, what are people suggesting? Its a big heavy car, and I do like to stop....EBC do a racespec DOT4 called BF307, its very expensive... or do I just go with the standard EBC DOT4 (I am guessing the car isnt spec to use DOT 5)
Thoughts?

What fluid did you use in the end? I'm looking to do some work on my brakes.

I use DOT 5.1 - it's readily available, cheap, has good specs and can be mixed with DOT4 (which should be in there already). The important thing is to be changing the fluid regularly.

A pressure bleeder is a good idea. Otherwise it’s pretty straight forward.
