Hi guys,
I bought my QP from this forum just over a year ago, so it seems right to put it up on here now I'm having to sell it!
I bought this car just over a year ago and used it as my everyday can until a few months ago when I had to buy a tow car. It has never broken down or caused issue and it has been utterly reliable. It also regularly achieved 25mpg on motorway runs. Being an early car, it also benefits from substantially cheaper road tax!
Service history:
6000 mile service - Dick Lovett main dealer
18500 mile service - Dick Lovett main dealer
31000 mile service - Dick Lovett main dealer
43500 mile service - Dick Lovett main dealer
49000 mile service - Templetons Performance Specialists
56000 mile service - Templetons Performance Specialists
62000 mile service - Bavaria Auto-Werke Aberdeen
68500 mile service - Bavaria Auto-Werke Aberdeen
74000 mile major service - PK Supercars. Clutch checked and had only 13% wear so lots of life left.
83000 mile major service - JJ Classic & Vintage
12 Months MOT with no advisories
Within the last 15,000 miles, the car has had over £12,000 spent on it on new parts including springs, hubs, brake discs, pads and cables, suspension bushes, both subframes repaired and protected, full dinitrol rust protection, upgraded air filter and more as shown in the history file. It has been very well looked after throughout its life and doesn’t really need anything doing to it.
The Maserati is in excellent mechanical condition and everything works except the tyre pressure monitoring system. A common issue on these, it just flags up a warning message when you start the car and that’s it. I have a diagnostic report from JMH Automotive showing that no other electrical faults were logged.
Everything else works including excellent air conditioning. The wheels were fully refurbished including new tyres less than 1000 miles ago and are still pristine. The paintwork is what you would expect for an 18 year old car, looks absolutely great from a few feet away but there are scratches, chips, blemishes etc. The interior is in nice shape with no rips or bad wear on the leather. It just needs a really good clean and some recolouring in one or two places. It does show exactly what this car is about though which is getting in it and driving it.
The car is located in Sandbach, Cheshire
I've priced it at £8500. It's excellent mechanically but the paintwork could benefit from some love. It never bothered me as it was my daily and my attention was on all my other cars!
