Opps looks like the "alternative" site name is ***** - apologies if I've broken a site rule. Anyway I wasn't trying to advertise the other site just get a feel for whether £14,000 was a market number for a good condition 2002 3200 GT with 45,000 miles on the clock.

I would say that is very realistically priced, though I don't like silver on the 3200. People don't often understand why cheap 3200s are cheap, until they buy them and wish they hadn't. I've been watching prices for a while.

Edited to add - if you ask enough people you'll always get the answer you want to hear eventually!

If you ask enough people you get the right answer - if "The wisdom is crowds" is correct. But I guess this forum is about sharing views and information so just thought I'd ask. Thanks for the feedback.

I didn't say if you asked enough people you'd get the 'right' answer, I said you'd get the answer you want to hear! Quite different. Sorry, all I meant was that if you feel it's too expensive for you then that's probably what to go with....they're quite hard cars to value unfortunately, and prices very variable, so just got to go with what's right for you. Good ones are often going for a good bit more, some for less!

I would agree, the car looks very good and well priced. Obviously you are going to try and get some money off, its human nature. I would just tell him your not going to muck about and offer him one price and one price only £13k and I think both parties will have done well.

Hi

I think its a bit high buts it has a good history,Clutch and Throttle body have been done last service by Emblem ,looks a good one if you like the colour. If you could get this for £13k or under it would a good buy.

3200's are very hard to value.......14k seems OK but then you can get a 4200 for the same money which will be more reliable...But if your heart is set on a 3200 because pf the lovelyrear lights etc then OI unerstand why you want one over a 4200.................For me...and its just my thought I would not go over 12k for one but good ones do seem to be going up in value..........If you pay 14k and its a lemon you will have paid too much but if you pay 14k and its a great car then happy days....Only way you will know is get an independant inspection before you buy........Good luck....

Bit of a generalisation there! 'May' be more reliable! At the same pricepoint I would always go good 3200 GT over 4200 coupe.

Having said that, yesterday I 'accidentally' sold my 3200 - wasn't advertised - someone just offered a fair price for it. To be honest I'm already regreting it - looked so good driving off....I think Grigio Alferi is THE colour for the 3200. To cope with my loss I'm now thinking of still selling the Spyder and then getting a Gransport. However, a bit unsure whether the GS will leave me feeling cold after the cool design touches/quality of materials and turbo push that the 3200 gives.

The 32 is a great car but the GS is a cut above. You will not regret it. It's reliable and easier to drive and you do get used to the lights they suit the car. The nose/bonnet is better too and due to the front bumper design you get so much less stone chips and the side skirts are great. IMO get full leather and an aftermarket exhaust.

The CC gearbox is brilliant

Cheers Matt - I was fishing for views on this! I obviously have the 4200 Spyder, but it's not really a like for like with the GS.

The way I look at it I am jealous, you have had the 3200 and the 4200 and you still have the GS to come. See to further my Maserati progression I have to sell a kidney to get into a GTS which is slower than a GS.

I know, I was - but the more I tried to sell him the Spyder, the more he pointed at the 3200! Still intending to sell the Spyder. Hope I haven't made a mistake - but in this market if someone makes a good offer and you haven't even had to advertise, it seems sensible. Time will tell. Knowing me I'll end up back in a 3200 for the third time, and should've just kept mine!

Can't add much to that good advice from the others. Some say the 4200 looks like a Honda Prelude from behind but I don't agree :) ( only joking guys ) The 3200 seems to be on the money scale give or take. . Subject to S/ history.

Standard £10k
Very nice: 12k
Excellent in every way £15k ?

Being a newbie 3200 owner I am gauging from what I hear and read that in the ideal conception is a 4200 with 3200 rear lights ?

Good luck

Ah yes sorry...may be....

Anyway your 3200 just looks stunning... But chin up a GS will be a good replacement.
