As you know all it takes is a few things to be done and hey presto £4-5 grand, thank you very much!

I agree - that's why I think the savvy buyer buys the right car, and doesn't get too tied up with colour etc etc!

The red one had sold for £15k a couple of months previously - I think it was probably a genuine bargain from a desperate seller.

Still got my grey 2002'02 3200 that you saw when we met at MP Supercars - as per my profile pic.

Nope - been 100%! Just standard servicing plus the clutch recently done at about 38k. As you know, if you buy a good one and look after them and they're pretty reliable. It's had two owners before me, both were on MF so I was able to speak to them and check its history from day 1. It's a Meridien car like yours.

Yes I clocked the plate when I saw you in the summer. If they have done the servicing in the past & Martin & Phill look after it now should be fine.

Meridien & Bill McGraths.... and now Phil/Martin. Every time I speak to them they mention what a good one it is, which is always reassuring to hear! MP Supercars really are excellent - makes such a difference to the ownership experience to have a good indie!

No, not that one! You're thinking of the ropily repaired one that was first spotted on coparts, and had a blacked grille instead of chrome.

Andy will know which one I mean...definitely wasn't cat C!

I know the one .... Berkshire sold it to a chap who then put it up for sale 3/4 weeks later ...... It wasn't a cat car ... The chap who bought it wife lost her job so he had to sell. It needed a little paint from fad and had one service stamp missing as I remember as I asked him about it......It was a very cheap car that on tyhe face of it could have been made perfect for not much money...Shame about the service though.

Phils AC in rosso was sooooo pretty.....one of the best......

AC for exclusivity also.....

I agree; Phil's car was and still is sooooo pretty.

Now it is happy basking in the not too hot sunshine in Melbourne, Australia.

I looked at the red AC that was for sale at Berkshire Performance prior to obtaining Phil's car (no. 72 of 75 from memory).

The sales people were not terribly helpful; however as it turns out it ended up in Australia too.

Someone in Perth purchased the car, but it has since been sold to someone else in Melbourne.

I have attached a couple of photos from my first decent drive this last Sunday with a group of fellow car enthusiasts.

Lots of Austin Healeys, MG's, Lotus', an Aston Martin etc.

I will try to get some better photos soon just to assure everyone Phil's car is still in good hands and still looking as good as it was in the UK.

Thank you again Phil.

Stephen

Stephen

For me the 'right' owner counts for much, and it's pleasing to know that the beastie is in the hands of someone who will appreciate it. Perhaps you can post some pics of it alongside its companion(s).

Hi Phil et al,
I am getting the Monte out this weekend so I will try to arrange a group photo!
Hopefully without a blue Mustang in the background.
Did everyone pick that?
