1st to 2nd noise

Noticed of recent that I occasionally have a noise when changing from 1st to 2nd.

The car runs perfect so its only me nit picking.

You can hear it when you have the windows down and sounds like the hydraulic ram that pushes from 1st to 2nd hitting a sort of back stop, not a clunk, more or a single metallic click.

Anyone else notice the same?

Mine does that from fourth to fifth.
Started with some noise, at the moment sometimes not wanting to select 5th at all!
SD2 showed no transmission faultcodes stored....

At this moment we are investigating the actuator/solenoid block.
At the DE forum there was one occasion of a broken pin in the mechanism of the actuator, in that case however there was NO gear selectable anymore.

I dont have any selection problems, I think it might need an adjustment or a rubber bump stop is missing, all very minor I know, but can be annoying.

Its all metall to metall Matt, no rubber parts anywhere in the selection mechanism.
Nice mechanism though and i am starting to understand how it works.
(It seems quite easy to convert to manual if you had the according parts.)
The solenoid block is something different though!
What a complex piece of work that is, with its six solenoids, oilpump, pressure sensor and an accumulator.

Oh dear...the more complex...the greater the likelihood of it giving up.......especially if all interacting and ochestrated to work very quickly etc.....

This bit is quite interesting boomerang,
I'm sure I read somewhere (might have been on maseratilife) of someone wondering how difficult it would be to engineer a robitized automatic into a manual,
