Very...nice....I can sense Loz going to have a look at this, or anyone else interested?

A very classy, motor....way more elegant than the English car he compared it too, plus the rarity value plus pure Italian design....fabulous!

More I look at it...the more I want it!

Anybody know of a way to verify the Chassis & body numbers that are quoted in the ad?

Am sure ENZO525...similar to the Alfa Romeo I have ( they told me of build date, colour, interior and where it was first sold), if you contact Maserati they would confirm the relevent data as being correct for that car.....and of course contact the guy whose flogging it, plus previous owner, assuming all above board should be only too happy to tell you all about it!

That's one classy car. If you've got the chassis number maybe walter on the ferrarichat forum has details on it. Failing that as P said above the factory can provide build details.

And a few more.........they are so much more expensive on the continent, as they have been for a number of year given the weakness of sterling!

Worth an email to Henry of erico's pages , most likely the present owner may well have been in contact with him at the time of purchase /import to the UK, also Marios (Autoshield) can probably tell you the most efficient way to check it out , looks an absoluter peach of a project to start off with, after the extension is built is will be seriously looking probably for something that looks a bit older

This off one of the adverts above........"Currently UK registered and was previously reg. in the USA with reg. docs. for both countries and a Certificato of Origine from Maserati Modena confirming authenticity of chassis no. AM 101 1556."

So certainly they can supply you with robust evidence that its the car the seller says it is!

Best way is to get in touch with Signor Cozza at Maserati (he's in charge of the VIN book, so to say). However, he's currently doing the 1000 Miglia so won't be able to respond to you till after that's done. He's not a young man, a call is probably better than any email.

Oh how I wish I could say it was me...but alas, no...
I need to sell one, two, three, maybe four of the six I currently hold before buying another!

Bet it's more than 40K. If he finishes it of, then fair play, but if he just turns it, well I guess fair play also.

What do think...double that....Would imagine it would not be a cheap restoration.

That is a beauty.....I am not a big fan of classics....apart for some reason Maseratis. They just look so right especially the old Maserati racers...The most beautiful race cars in the world as far as I'm concerned
