It's undoubtedly beautiful, it's an A6GCS after all, but like many US restored classics it's way too shiny! It could be a recreation it's so spotless. Where's its patina? Where are its marks of age? It's the missing signs of heritage that would keep me enthralled and going back time after time to appreciate its beauty and history. That one's had its memory erased. Sad. :-(

What would i give ,to go out and spend a couple of hundred on all the best polishing cloths and gear, come home and open my temperature controlled garage , and spend a few hours just dusting that off , personally i'd prefer it as is , nothing like standing back gloating over your cleaned beauty , knowing that there are absolutely no annoying chips/dings anywhere , completes a certain smugness , been there a few times my self with certain cars but unfortunately for me that feeling doesn't last long , especially the way i like to drive them , i always seem to clock up stone chips with the regularity of a clock counter

Now if the donks chips and dings were proven to have been put there by some famous racing driver of times long past , then of course yhou would wear them as a prized badge of honour .... goes without saying , can you imagine saying at a show , mmm yes Stirling or Fangio put that crease in that wing at Spa heheh dreaming again its an age thing
