Anyone looked at this one at Saxtons. If they gave me a decent deal I'd consider it. Is there a decent specialist in Essex that anyone could recommend to ppi it? All subject to price on my px though. Your thoughts on it would be valued. Thanks in advance guys.

I know it's been for sale for ages which is why I thought they may go on price. It was £27950 in the summer.

Dicky, I think Bill McGrath must be pretty close as that car is only something like 30 miles from me and BMc is my part of the world.

Its been for sale for some time, thats for sure.

Just had a look at it, and it looks a bit shabby from the pics. Also, the pics were taken in the summer, so its been hanging around, as Dem says.

I would have a look at it first before you get an inspection done.

It is one of the older GS's and its not the LE spec, so I suspect it could be had cheap, offer a cheeky £23k and see where you go.

600 mile round trip. They've told me it's unmarked but would be asking loads of questions before going.

I'm sure somebody else posted either on here or MF about a long round trip to Saxtons for a black GS that was a waste of time. IIRC the ad said the car had full leather and it didn't (technno cloth inserts). Saxtons aren't a Maserati specialist. A few years ago they were knocking out some dodgy looking Range Rovers and the like. I would spend some time with them on the phone and get them to check everything you ask before making a visit.

MAF - It was probably me on MF.

Dicky, this was the first GS I looked at. I wasn't too happy to get down there (big round trip) only to find it had techno cloth. From what I recall, it seemed to have been well looked after and was in very good condition. Last serviced at Stratstone I think, but I can't remember about the clutch. It was top of my budget in the summer and I might have gone for if it had have been all leather. I didn't take it out for a test drive as it was stuck at the back of the indoor showroom (even though they knew I was coming to see it) and I was going to look at another car in Yorkshire the same day so I wanted to hit the road again rather than wait an hour or so to jiggle the cars around. They had some other tasty motors in there - DB9, RS8 etc - but do seem to be primarily focused on 4x4s.

How about getting one of our members to take a look at it for you and give you the low down, if you have a look here it might help you:

I have added Saxtons, looks like Dem or Enz is your best bet, Dem does not have a job, hes your best bet, but to be fair, Enz has an eye for these things as he is a very hands on chap.
thanks very much for that, will be speaking to them regarding the usual before I waste anyone's time in going in my behalf.

Spoken to them now, patchy history and no price reductions at all. Dear at that price for the mileage and the fact it needs a service in march. Will keep looking.

Reading Si's report.......not even bothering to get the car out for a looksee...unforgivable in anyones book, effectively not as described, then a patchy history, needs a service, mileage you don't like and MAFs words........too few boxes ticked!

Love it but couldn't live with the interior, looked into a change of leather but not an option as it'd cost a fortune.

God lord...agree Dicky that interior is terrible....

Thats doen't look like techno cloth in the Saxton one....they say it bianco......
