Went to collect my car today from Owens after it was booked in due to the recent recall on GT's

Thought I would pick up an ipod cable for the car. It was out of stock, but they said the price for the cable is £100+ and can be ordered...

Crazy price just for a cable.

Ive got an official ipod cable and it still wont connect properly - use a 16Gig USB memory stick instead. Works a treat

No idea if mine works for music. Ordered it with the car and only ever used it for charging my iphone.

Bob, is yours connected to the radio? If it is a multicore cable it should work both ways in and out. I suppose it depends how it's connected. I am looking for a similar thing to connect my iphone to the radio so that I can play stored music, but not at a £100 a pop, that's a joke.

No, its in the glovebox. Think it takes memory sticks as well. Hardly ever looked at it!

I have an ipod connector in one of the Jeeps in the glovebox, it charges and its connected to the radio so will play via the radio, sounds like you have the same thing. I don't think ours takes a memory stick though, that's cool.

I also have all the cables in the glove box too, not used them to be honest.

I have been looking at those Matt, are they good for both handsfree phone and iTunes stuff, it's basically what I need if they work. Which model do you have and how much?
